The government has announced a new bill that will govern the granting of employment permits to non-EU nationals in Ireland.

The proposed new legislation will make it an offence for an employer to give work to a person who is not in receipt of a work permit. It will also be illegal for a non-EU national to work in the State without relevant documents.
