Comiskey will not attend Easter Vigil
It has emerged that Dr Brendan Comiskey will not attend the Easter Vigil at St Aidan's Cathedral in Enniscorthy this evening.
The Bishop of Ferns was expected to attend the Easter Passion of Our Lord service at St Aidan's yesterday but opted out saying he did not want to subject his congregation to the media attention that his presence would have brought.
Despite calls for Bishop Comiskey to respond to criticism by those who were sexually abused by the late Father Sean Fortune. He has not been seen in public for six days with the exception of one brief statement.
