Two men boarding a train for Dublin have been arrested in connection with a bank raid in Tipperary town.

Two men boarding a train for Dublin have been arrested in connection with a bank raid in Tipperary town.

The hold-up occurred earlier today at the AIB on the town's Main St.

The pair were detained as they got on the train at Limerick Junction.

Superintendent Michael Murray of Tipperary Garda Station said the arrests came about as a result of information received from the public, following circulation of the descriptions of those involved in the robbery.
