Aquatic centre controversy to continue this week
The controversy surrounding the aquatic centre currently under construction in west Dublin looks set to continue this week, with the Attorney General’s report into the matter due to be published soon.
The cabinet will discuss the report tomorrow and is expected to publish it shortly afterwards.
It is also expected to agree to split the roles of Stadium Ireland chairman and chief executive, both of which are currently held by Paddy Teahon.
Last week, Mr Teahon was called before the Dail’s public accounts committee to answer questions about how a consortium led by a dormant company managed to secure the contract to operate the aquatic centre.
