Baby and grandmother killed in Longford house fire

A baby and his grandmother have been killed in a house fire in Co Longford.

The blaze broke out just before 10.30pm last night at a house in Springlawn Estate in Longford Town.

The baby’s parents managed to escape from the fire.

The names of the 12-month-old child and her grandmother, in her nineties, have not yet been released.
