Thousands of jobs at risk over rise in insurance costs

The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association has warned that thousands of jobs could be lost because of dramatic rises in the cost of commercial insurance.

ISME said at least 400 jobs are under immediate threat and many more lay-offs could follow. The warning comes after leading insurance firm Axa withdrew from the commercial insurance market.
