LRC to begin efforts to resolve A&E dispute

The Labour Relations Commission will begin hearing submissions from both sides in the nursing dispute today as a work-to-rule protest in accident and emergency departments continues.

Health Minister Micheal Martin asked the LRC to intervene after nurses in A&E units mounted a two-hour stoppage on Wednesday to protest at working conditions and worsening patient overcrowding.
