Nursing unions will meet later today to decide whether or not to proceed with industrial action tomorrow, following a call to postpone it from the Minister for Health.

Last night, health employers submitted new eleventh-hour proposals on reforms of Accident and Emergency to Minister Micheal Martin, who has said he wants time to study the proposed reforms. However, his pleas may fall on deaf ears.
