Martin disappointed with IHS move to sue

The Minister for Health has expressed his surprise at the decision this afternoon of the Irish Haemophiliac Society to sue his department over the lack of compensation paid to its members who were infected with HIV due to tainted blood.

Micheal Martin said there was no need for such action as he was committed to bringing in new legislation to allow compensation to be paid.
