Live Register figures continue to rise

More than 2,300 extra people signed on the dole last month, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office today.

The Live Register figures show a rise of 2,377 in the numbers claiming social welfare, but when the numbers are seasonally adjusted, that rise increases to 4,500.
