Gardai find weapons cache on border

Gardai have uncovered a cache of terrorist weapons close to the Co Donegal border with Northern Ireland.

The arms were found following a planned search in a hedgerow near the village of Stranolar.

The haul - which gardai believed could have been stored by a dissident paramilitary group - included two AK47 rifles, a pump-action shotgun, a machine gun, a rocket launcher and detonators.

No arrests were made as a result of the find.
