Cowen condemns Palestinian and Israeli violence

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, has condemned the worsening violence in the Middle East following a week of tit-for-tat attacks throughout Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Mr Cowen said the Palestinian cause is not being served by suicide bombings and other attacks, while the Israelis are doing their own security situation an injustice by further inflaming Palestinian passions.
