Rocket launcher find: four charged
Four men were tonight charged with possession of explosives with intent to endanger life and with conspiracy to murder members of the security forces.
The men, two of whom were aged 31 and the others 23 and 24, will appear at East Tyrone Magistrates Court in Cookstown tomorrow.
The charges relate to the discovery of a rocket launcher in Ardmore Road in Coalisland earlier this week.
The RPG22 grenade propelling launcher has been used in the past by dissident republicans and has provoked fears of a fresh campaign by groups opposed to the peace process.
A grenade which was loaded in the launcher was made safe by army bomb experts.
