Minister 'surprised' as nurses set stoppage date

Nurses working in hospital accident and emergency wards are to hold a two-hour stoppage on March 13 in protest at working conditions.

However, the Minister for Health has expressed his surprise at the move, adding that any strike would be extremely damaging to the healthcare system.
