The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has told the Dail that a report into the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings will probably not be ready until after the upcoming general election.

Justice Henry Barron, the judge overseeing an inquiry into the atrocities, requested files on the matter from the British Government 13 months ago, but none have been handed over so far.
