No appeal from Lawlor as deadline passes

It now appears increasingly unlikely that Liam Lawlor will appeal last week's High Court decision to jail him after the passing of today's deadline.

The disgraced TD has between 11am and 11.30am tomorrow morning to make a last-ditch appeal for a stay on his 28-day conviction.
