Carers Association say better care needed for elderly

The Irish Carers Association is demanding that the Government introduce urgent reforms to the way in which funding is provided to nursing homes.

A recent ombudsman report was highly critical of the way in which the Department of Health and many of the regional health boards treat members of the elderly community in their care.
