Gardai find body in west Dublin

Gardai investigating a missing persons case in Dublin have discovered a body at the Ninth Lock in west Dublin.

A garda spokesman said the body was found in a ditch near the Grand Canal in Clondalkin.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that the remains may be those of a Dublin man reported missing three years ago.

They are treating the death as suspicious and forensic experts are currently examining the scene.
