The Revenue Commissioners have denied that computer hackers have gained access to their sensitive database.

Revenue has admitted there is a network problem with the computer system, but insisted no one has hacked in.

The problem, they claim, merely means that staff who log onto the Dublin Castle system cannot access their website.
