Suspension of care strike urged

The National Implementation Body is asking striking care workers to call off their action, pending further Labour Court negotiations.

In a statement, the dispute resolution body established to monitor the PPF pointed out that both sides in the row must find a resolution through the available industrial relations process.

The NIB has urged all parties to co-operate fully with the Labour Court, which is due to chair talks on the pay dispute later today.
