Unions meet to discuss care workers' strike

Talks are underway at the Labour Relations Commission in an attempt to prevent industrial action by care assistants in residential homes for the mentally disabled.

In the event of a strike by SIPTU and IMPACT members, patients will be discharged into the care of their families.
