ASTI proposals "selfish" say pupils

The union representing secondary school pupils is appealing to the ASTI not to use them as pawns in their latest battle with the Government.

The teachers’ union is proposing to ban all new course work supervision from next week, as well as threatening to stop all substitution and supervision work.

Spokesperson for the pupils, Juliana Bruton said ASTI’s proposals are "reckless and selfish" as it is the pupils who are the "immediate victims".
