Postmaster injured during Co Kildare robbery

A postmaster has been taken to hospital after a shot was fired during an armed robbery at a post office in Kilcullen, Co Kildare, this morning.

Two raiders entered the building shortly after 10am and discharged at least one shot during the robbery.

They escaped with an unknown sum of money on a stolen Suzuki motorbike.

The postmaster’s condition is unknown.
