Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the former USSR, will receive the freedom of Dublin city in a ceremony later today.

Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the former USSR, will receive the freedom of Dublin city in a ceremony later today.

Trinity College awarded Mr Gorbachev, the 1990 Nobel peace prize winner, an honorary degree last night.
