Northern police probe suspected punishment attack

Police in the North are investigating an apparent paramilitary-style punishment attack in Belfast last night.

A man in his 40s was shot in the left leg in an alleyway off North Queen’s Street shortly after 9pm.

Police have refused to speculate on a motive.
