First euro raid in Ireland

Robbers have carried out the first euro raid in this country.

They held up a bank in Borrisokane, Co Tipperary.

Three raiders armed with a hammer and a knife snatched a sum of euro notes.

They escaped in a silver Volvo car.

A garda follow up operation is underway.
