PDs hope to double number of seats in next election

As the New Year begins the main political parties are beginning to wind up their preparations for the upcoming general election.

The Tainaiste, Mary Harney, has predicted that her party, the Progressive Democrats, can double their number of seats in the next election, which is expected to be set for May.
