Co Galway PD councillor dies

The death has taken place in Tuam, Co Galway, of Councillor Joe Burke, a prominent member of the Progressive Democrat Party in Connacht.

Mr Burke was heavily involved in the formation of the party in 1985 after the split from Fianna Fail.
