Attackers were waiting for Dublin shooting victim
The State Pathologist, Dr. John Harbison will carry out a post mortem later this afternoon on the body of a man who was shot dead in west Dublin last night.
The 22-year-old man was gunned down as he made his way to his house in Clondalkin early in the morning.
The man was shot twice in the upper body and detectives believe his attackers may have been waiting for him.
It is believed the dead man had a number of previous convictions.
The post mortem will be carried out at Tallaght hospital while the Garda technical bureau are examining the scene of the crime.
