Man questioned over Dublin woman's death
A man is being questioned by gardai today about the death of a woman whose body was found in a flat in central Dublin.
A neighbour discovered the body last night in a flat at St Theresa’s Gardens in Dublin's Dolphin's Barn.
Gardai said the woman’s death was being regarded as suspicious, and that she suffered a violent death.
It is understood the body was in a large cupboard in the flat. The woman's throat had been slashed and her body had been place in a sleeping bag.
The woman, who was in her 30s, has not yet been named.
Gardai are carrying out door-to-door inquiries in a bid to establish the victims last movements.
The man is being questioned in Kevin Street Garda Station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act and can be detained for 12 hours without being charged.
