The chief constable of the North’s police service, Ronnie Flanagan, has had talks with his legal advisers in Belfast after he was sharply criticised in the report into the police handling of the Omagh bomb investigation.

Mr Flanagan will officially respond to the report later, but last night he revealed that he is considering legal action.
