Bank staff accept compensation deal for euro changeover

Staff at AIB and Ulster Bank have voted to accept pay deals designed to compensate them for working through the euro changeover at the end of this month.

The majority of staff at the two banks will receive a £750 bonus payment, as well as increased overtime rates for extra hours worked during the transition from pounds to euros.
