Law reform body recommends widening definition of murder

The body governing reform of Ireland’s laws has recommended that the Government widen the definition of murder to include 'reckless indifference to the value of human life'.

The recommendation is designed to make it easier for the State to prosecute people for murder instead of manslaughter.
