Fianna Fail has demanded an apology from the Labour Party after its leader, Ruairi Quinn, said his party’s main priority in the next general election is to “get the bastards out”.

Environment Minister Noel Dempsey, a Fianna Fail TD, said the comments were a step too far, while a Labour spokesman accused him of being over-sensitive.
