Shot garda's remains to be removed today

The body of Garda Detective Sergeant John Eiffe, who was accidentally shot dead by a colleague in Abbeyleix on Friday, will be removed later today.

The remains will be taken to Ratoath, the home town of the 40-year-old father-of-four.

He will be buried in the Co Meath village tomorrow.
