More top RTÉ names are to face the axe as the troubled station strives to cut its spiraling costs with a policy of not renewing contracts for top-rated shows when they expire, irrespective of their popularity.

Following the controversial ending of the highly successful political satire Bull Island, next for the chop are Olivia O'Leary and Dave Fanning.
