The Ulster Unionist Party’s ruling council will meet later today to decide whether or not to impose a new artificial deadline for IRA decommissioning.

Party leader David Trimble has told delegates on the council that imposing deadlines gives the IRA an excuse to delay decommissioning and he wants them to support whatever strategy he decides on.
