Dublin man convicted of manslaughter
A Dublin man has been convicted of manslaughter at the Central Criminal Court tonight.
John Paul Hayes, 23, from Coultry Road, Ballymun, Dublin, had stabbed Mr Francis Moore, 33, in a frenzied attack.
Mr Moore died after being stabbed 39 times on the balcony of his home. The man had pleaded not guilty to a murder charge but after a seven and a half-hour consultation, the jury convicted the man of manslaughter.
The two men had lived in the same flat. The man will be sentenced on January 14.
