Tomorrow's Dail business in doubt

It is still unclear whether the opposition parties intend to cooperate with tomorrow’s Dail business after a mass walk-out this afternoon.

The Dail adjourned at 4pm this afternoon after business was reduced to a farce following a walk-out by all Fine Gael, Labour and Green Party TDs.

The opposition undertook the move in protest at the Government’s refusal to allow time for a debate on censuring Independent TD Tom Gildea over his accusations that Fine Gael TD Nora Owen accepted backhanders from a cable company in the mid-1990s.
