Landlords dismiss huge rise in evictions

The Irish Property Owners Association has dismissed figures which show a 250% increase in the number of tenants being evicted by landlords.

Threshold, which campaigns for tenants’ rights, said greedy landlords are evicting people so they can raise rents and lease the property to those on waiting lists, who have no choice but to pay whatever the landlords ask for.
