Anti-agreement wing of UUP attacked by Trimble
The Ulster Unionist leader, David Trimble, has lashed out against the hard-line
anti-agreement wing of his party.
Speaking at the UUP annual conference at Belfast's Waterfront Hall today, Mr Trimble said that the party has been damaged by internal factionalism and that the time has come to trust him on decommissioning.
Mr Trimble said that he had written to the British Home Office to extend the new anti-terrorist legislation to Northern Ireland.
