Man killed in road accident in south Dublin

A pedestrian has died following a road traffic accident in Cornelstown in south Dublin last night bringing the total of people who have been killed on Irish roads this week to six.

A pedestrian has died following a road traffic accident in Cornelstown in south Dublin last night bringing the total of people who have been killed on Irish roads this week to six.

The accident occurred at the junction of the N11 and the old Bray Road

at 5.50pm yesterday. The victim has not yet been named by the gardai but it is believed to be a man in his thirties.

Five other people, including a member of the garda special branch, have

been killed on the roads this week in accidents in Louth, Dublin and Laois.
