IFA seeks to have injunction lifted

The Irish Farmers Association will today apply to the High Court to lift an injunction preventing it from protesting outside Greencore factories.

The Irish Farmers Association will today apply to the High Court to lift an injunction preventing it from protesting outside Greencore factories.

The injunction also prevents the IFA from urging farmers to withhold beet supplies from Greencore’s two sugar factories in Carlow and Mallow.

The company has closed these two factories because of the boycott, which was organised in protest at the prices Greencore offers to farmers for their produce.
