Defence Minister Michael Smith will today review Irish peacekeeping troops who are due to depart for Ethiopia and Eritrea on December 5.

Defence Minister Michael Smith will today review Irish peacekeeping troops who are due to depart for Ethiopia and Eritrea on December 5.

A total of 209 Irish soldiers will participate in the mission.

They will provide security at the UN headquarters in the area and will protect UN convoys travelling throughout the war-torn border area.
