IFA protest at sugar beet prices

The Irish Farmers' Association is organising a picket of the country’s two sugar processing factories this morning.

Farmers are withdrawing sugar beet supplies from the plants in Carlow and Mallow, Co Cork, demanding a price increase from Irish sugar owners’, Greencore.
