The Irish Road Haulage Association has complained that the Dublin Port Tunnel will take longer to construct than needed and will cause unnecessary traffic gridlock.

IRHA spokesman Gerry McMahon said work on the tunnel could be completed in half the time if Dublin Corporation kept the construction site operating round-the-clock.
