MEPs vote for fixed ewe premium

The European Parliament has voted in favour of a move that the Irish Farmers Association believes will secure the future of sheep farming in Ireland.

MEPs gave the go-ahead for a fixed ewe premium of €30, a figure the IFA had campaigned for.
