Corrs play at postponed charity gig

The Corrs have performed a charity concert for The Prince of Wales Trust.

The Drogheda band was forced to postpone a show earlier this year after lead singer Andrea Corr was struck down with an ear infection.

They played in front of more than 5,500 people at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Andrea said: "I was so disappointed when we had to cancel the gig for The Prince's Trust earlier this year and we all promised then that we would come back and put a show on as soon as we could.

"We've been involved with The Prince's Trust for a few years now and we know that it really reaches young people in needs of its help."

The show is expected to raise more than £180,000 for the charity, which helps young people develop skills, get into work and start up businesses.

Earlier on in the day The Corrs invited three young people who have been on the trust's Soundlive music programme to test out their musical skills with them during their sound-check.
