Most people would prefer to pay tolls on all new roads throughout the country rather than foot the cost of the roads through increased taxes, according to a survey conducted by the National Roads Authority.

52% of the 1,200 people questioned said those who use the roads should pay for their construction, rather than the entire tax-paying population.
