Detained republicans - vital witness disappears

A key witness in the case against three Irish republicans detained in Colombia has disappeared, it emerged today.

News that the man - a former police inspector - had vanished came as Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams admitted that Niall Connolly, one of the three arrested men, was the party’s Cuban representative.
